About Repot Refresh

Your plants, given room to grow.

Repot Refresh started with a simple idea. Lots of people love their houseplants but put off repotting. It's messy, the soil bags are heavy, and it's hard to know which mix each plant needs.

So we bring it all to you. Every plant gets a soil blend made for it, roots are gently teased and trimmed, and everything is done over waterproof tarps. When we leave, the only sign we were there is happier plants.

We work across Christchurch, from a single Pothos on a windowsill to a towering Fiddle Leaf Fig in the lounge. If you'd rather, you can bring your plants to us.

Signs your plant needs a repot

Most houseplants need fresh soil every 12–24 months. Look out for:

  • Roots poking out of the drainage holes or circling the surface
  • Water runs straight through, or sits on top without soaking in
  • Growth has stalled or leaves are yellowing despite good care
  • The plant is top-heavy and tips over easily
  • Soil has shrunk away from the pot edges or smells sour
  • Fungus gnats keep returning
